WHO IS A CANDIDATE?

Healthy men and women can benefit from truFlex treatments. During your consultation, your provider will discuss with you if you are a candidate, based on your health and medical history.

WHO IS NOT A CANDIDATE?

Patients who are or may be pregnant.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?

Up to 8 areas can be treated in one 15-minute session

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL BE NEEDED?

Remarkable results can be achieved with as little as 4 treatments. Additional treatments may be required to achieve the personalized results you desire.

WHAT WILL THE TREATMENT FEEL LIKE?

As the treatment begins, patients feel a gentle contraction sensation and, as the intensity slowly increases, the muscle contraction intensifies but remains comfortable.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT?

TruFlex is non-invasive, requires no recovery time, and patients are able to immediately return to normal activities after the treatment. Post-procedure, patients may notice tingling in the areas treated for up to a few hours and/or slight muscle soreness or tenderness for 24-72 hours.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR TREATMENT?

  • Shave or trim hair in the treatment area 2 days prior to the day of treatment to ensure effective contact and minimize sweat build up, thus reducing the potential for adverse reactions and decreased skin integrity issues such as burns. (Shaving hair on the day of treatment can cause increased skin irritation.)

  • Be well hydrated prior to and on the day of treatment.

  • Ensures a more comfortable treatment.

  • Recommendation is around 2-3 L or 1 gallon over the course of the day.

  • Do not exercise the treatment muscle group 12 hours prior to treatment time. Other muscle groups on the body can be exercised in full.

  • Ensures improved tolerability.

  • Body piercings must be removed if under or near the treatment area.

  • Can lead to burns

  • Notify the clinic and provider of any/all changes to health history or medications prior to treatment, if different from intake form or last appointment.

WHAT ARE THE AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS?

  • Continue to hydrate

  • If experiencing discomfort, use heat or OTC pain meds such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen.

  • Continue to eat a healthy diet. You just did a boot camp workout!

  • Massage the treatment area daily for a minimum of 10 minutes.

  • Do not overeat.

  • Do not ice the treatment area

  • Do not perform strenuous exercise for 72hrs

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Results may be visible after the second session with maximum results visible 8-12 weeks after the last session. 4-6 sessions are recommended to achieve desired outcomes.
