WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING AND AFTER TREATMENT?
-
Mild to moderate discomfort is typical during treatment with a slight pricking sensation
-
Mild to significant erythema (redness) and mild to moderate edema (swelling) are common and typically resolve within 20 min to several hours however, both can last for several days.
-
Mild acne flare ups are common after treatment. Typically occur 2 to 5 days after treatment and resolve over 2 to 3 weeks; however, acne flare ups can continue at perceptible levels for several more weeks.
-
Mild skin dryness can occur 1-2 days after treatment and typically resolves in a few days to 2 weeks with application of topical skin moisturizers
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Individual responses vary, but on average there should start to be improvement within 2 weeks of the first treatment. For many there is simply a slow and steady improvement while others may experience a worsening of acne symptoms prior to seeing improvement. In either case we see an average of 50-70% improvement by 12 months post-treatment.
